2006 Guestbook

So I actually Have done that in past bands, funny thing was most of the money to do the booking and promoting came out of my pocket. But each member found the ways and means to get to the clubs. I can honestly say we had a range of 150 miles, and to top it off we worked normal jobs in our regular life. So no It's not easy , but if a band wants to get anywere they need to spread their wings and go places. I know it is hard, but it's not impossible. If you don't believe me ask your drummer, he can vouch for doing it to, as I have know Mikey for a very long time. And granted it does cost money, the term it takes money to make money is totally true. Rock On DW

We are flattered to have Distant Warning play for us here in Colorado. The Eighties had the best rock music, period. That is why people are still into this stuff.

I thought D.W. rocked the Tejon Street biker rally on Sun.I always enjoy your shows. Don't worry about the "Ricky's" of the world. Some people will never get it. I agree with J.D. this is the world's toughest biz. Rock On. Matt M.

First off, I would like to take this time to thank all who sign this guestbook. Even Ricky and Tim who have negative things to say (your entitled to your opinions, and I respect that.) Sorry you had to base your opinion on a very bad show (and that I'm very sorry for) as to which even the best bands have an off night occasionally. As far as the touring aspect goes, DW has had opportunities to tour and travel, however signing a horrible contract and making poor financial decisions is something we did not want to do in the past, nor in the future. My suggestion to those people who think traveling with a band is easy and financially viable, put one together and go tour. Then maybe you'll understand how tough this busisness is.

Chewing on sticks, huh? Hey, wood is wood, and I need all I can get at my age!! Don't know about sleeping with flatulent females, though. That's something I'de like to avoid. Metal On!!

Sorry, have to agree with Ricky. From the last show I saw these guys play in the Springs, they were mediocre at best. Apperently the singers focus was going on stage intoxicated, and they were all boring to watch. The music was not very tight, as well. That said, they are very talented musicians and would work well if they worked together. I'v been hearing about these guys for years and it seems to me they should be on a tour or something by now.

Heya DW. The only thing I can agree with Ricky is you guys do need to tour more. Get the hell out of C-Springs and Denver, Expand your horizons and head North, Head South, Head West but get the Hell out of the Springs. Get the guy doing your booking to get in the act and book some shows in new places and play shows other than Union Station. I know the Station pays, but if you want to get more known, you do need to expand out. Oh and tell that Drummer of yours, to get a life and stop dating farting chicks that he sleeps with and chewing on drum sticks. you'd think he was a damn Beaver or something. Just kidding on that drummer part, but you guys do need to get out and play in more places than Denver, Golden and C. Springs. ROCK ON! Metal Lives and DW tears it up.

Sounds like the Ricky guy who ripped you in your guestbook has what's called sour grapes...probably a failed musician/singer and someone who isn't doing jack with his life, so therefore he has to try and tear other people down. As far as the 80s are concerned, it was a terrific decade with more innovative music than has been done in the past 20+ years. So Ricky, you should just shut up and go play with your toys in the basement, loser.

Sounds to me like it must have made some kind of impression on Ricky, due to the fact that he took the time to give his two cents. P.S use your time and money (2 cents) to go back to school and learn how to fucking spell..and maybe articulate something other than one long run-on sentence.

Too damn funny! Oh well, you can't please everyone. Sorry that you didn't dig us because lots of folks here and in other states and countries do. Impress me, what have you done? We don't claim to be 80's - that's where our influences lie. And we are true to our influences. And true to our fans. Love the 'Tate' line. I'm not a Tate clone , nor have I ever tried to be. We work hard at our craft and every now and then a 'hater' comes along and tries to piss on our parade. Since we are not what you are into maybe you should go back to listening to Limp Korn Bizkit or whatever ever it is that you dig. Glad you took the time to come onto our site and slag us/me.

are you kidding me? somebody needs to tell these guys the 80's are over the sad thing is there are a million bands out there that sounds exactly the same they were average at best if these guys are so good were is there big time contract very un original very boring ther really cool dudes but in the real world of music not even a chance i know that sounds harsh but cmon people be realistic they have probably never even been out on a real tour and all these people are making them out to be stars very very dated music tell that singer he is not geoff tate and get out of the 80's the 80's were a total joke

I love the song Desiree. When Ron sings it, I close my eyes and feel the power of his voice making love to my mind. I wish a man would sing like that about me. EP.
