Happy Turkey Day to everybody out there! Dave and Jenette's kid is due to arrive Dec 5th. His name is Dakota William Hancock. Hey Dave, enjoy all the sleep you can get now, buddy! Thanks to all our friends from Compaq, and our friends and family who came up to the Heimmie's show on Saturday. You made it a smashing success! Check out LIQUID KAOS if you get a chance. These guys play great original melodic metal, and it was a pleasure playing with them. Check out the new Soundbites page. I've added FULL MP3s for you to download! I will try to rotate them every couple of weeks so check back often. We're going to take December off so that Dave can adjust to his new schedule, and so that we can wrap up some new songs that we are working on. I'll probably do another update around Xmas time, so until then Happy Thanksgiving and see you in January!

We have a new arrival in the fold. A member of our road crew B.J., and his wife Jackie have just had a baby girl. Desireé Rose Decker was born Oct. 26, 2000. The child was named after one of our new songs "Desireé" which should be out on CD very soon. Both mother and baby are doing well, and we wish them all the best. In a related note, Dave (drummer) and his wife Jenette are expecting a little one in early December. It's a boy, but they haven't decided on a name yet. We'll let you know more details as they develop. We also wish Dave & Jenette all the best. Have yourself a very Spooky Halloween and we'll see you next month at Heimmie's on Nov 18th. Catch ya later!

We'll our next show is at CRICKET ON THE HILL in Denver. These guys really know how to support the ORIGINAL music scene, and they treat their bands right. We'll be playing with PALE HORSE and DRAGON, two area bands that are somewhat in the same vein as our stuff. The show is on WED OCT 18, and there's no cover. All of you regulars from Springs, come up and help us establish a following in Denver, and at the same time check out some of the Denver talent too. Cricket is at the corner of 13th and Downing (a few blocks east of the capitol). I had better see you all there, because we know where you live... More later, ciao!

Well, I've updated the site a little bit this week. Check out Jeff's bio, the new links page, and there are more photos in the pics section now. Thanks to all who dropped in and signed our guest book. We have another show planned at the Colorado Music Hall. It is on Thursday August 31, 2000. Doors open at 8:00pm. DISTANT WARNING will be headlining with BROKEN TOE opening. It is an all ages show. Between the two bands, we have plenty of FREE tickets available. Just grab anyone in DW or BT, or email us, and we'll do our best to get you some. We usually drop off a bunch at HOT TOPIC, in the Citadel and Chapel Hills malls too. Please remember the comp tickets are only valid if you are 21+. Thanks goes out to our "regulars", who make it out to every show. You guys are the greatest! Come out and support Colorado Springs' original music! See ya!

Hi everyone and welcome to the long awaited "Distant Warning" official website! Over the next few weeks, this site will be under gradual construction. Being that I have not become a full HTML jedi yet, please excuse my simplistic looking pages. Over time my skills will improve and you can enjoy that "slick" look that so many other bands have on their websites. One thing you may notice is the absence of our new rhythm guitartist Jeff in the bio and picture pages. Being that he's the newest member of the band, I don't have any pictures yet, but his section will be up as soon as possible. Please drop me a line and let me know what you think! As always, thanks to our fans for all your support! - Duane
