First off, a big thanks to everyone who showed up for the final round of Battle of the Bands at Joyrides yesterday! There were a lot of you who we hadn't seen in a while, and as always we had a blast playing for you! Thanks to SHED LIFE for stepping in for FOOT at the last minute. Unfortunately due to bad weather, HUNG FURLEY could not play. Rumor has it that the event might be rescheduled. It would be set earlier in the afternoon to avoid the rain if it goes through. The winner of the competition would be determined then. I'll update with more details later. Now here's the part where I try and thank everyone: Joyrides, Mother 96.1 FM, Shed Life, Hung Furley, Mystic 7, DaVinci's Cradle, the Sound Guy, Lee, Dave, the Shryacks and crew, and anyone else I may have missed. See you soon! -D

This month we say goodbye to long time friend, cohort, confidant, and mysterious sixth member of Distant Warning, Craig Bloom. He has decided to move back to his native Cleveland, Ohio to spend some time with friends and relatives there. Craig has been our chief roadie and all around band assistant since 1998, and the band is deeply indebted to his services and friendship over the years. We wish Craig all the best in life and good luck in all his future endeavors. We salute you Craig! See you real soon! -The Band

Hey Metalheads! WE WON the preliminary Battle of the Bands contest on Saturday! We would like to thank Dysfunctional Therapy and Angels of Deception for putting on great performances, Joyrides for hosting the event, Mother 96.1 FM for the live remote and the air time, all the judges, and our fans and friends who came out to support us! We move on to the next round of competition in August. If you went to the TESLA show, you know that they had to stop early due to illness. They are supposedly rescheduling the show and we have been promised by the promoter an opening slot. Due to a miscommunication between TESLA's people and the Music Hall, we were unable to perform that night. So we shall see as the saying goes. Stranger things have happened! That's all for now folks, Ciao! -D

DOH! We've been dropped from the TESLA show at the last minute. We are greatly disappointed to say the least. Our apologies to our fans who were expecting to see us. I could say a lot of rather unprofessional things right now, being that we were notified 3 hours before the show, but I'll refrain until we get all the facts out on the table. We're not even sure at this point what happened. More info as it comes in. We have been asked to participate in this years Battle of the Bands contest at Joyrides. Finally an outdoor venue (we love playing outdoors)! We are scheduled for Saturday, May 12, 2001 and it starts around 6:00 pm. This is one of those rare occasions when we're playing on a weekend, and at a reasonable time. So no excuses people, come and support us if it's been a while! Joyrides is on Platte between Powers and Wooten. Come see the "real" best band in Springs! -D

Hi everyone! I know I haven't updated for a while. Been busy with the usual. First off, thanks to everyone who made it to the JACKYL show in February. It was great to play for some new faces that may not have heard of us before. We're opening for TESLA on May 10th at the Music Hall. I don't know how much stage time we'll have. Tickets are somewhere around $25, average for national bands that come through. I also heard that TESLA is bringing a band with them, so who knows what the schedule will be. I'll post more details here as they come in. So if you're headed to the TESLA show, see ya there! We're still trying to knock out some more new tunes for you. Chances are that we'll be in the studio sometime around August to record our first "pro" CD with the help of some friends in Denver. More on that later. We've just finished shooting some video for a CD-ROM project that Paul is working on. It will contain interviews, animations, music clips, and a few surprises! We hope to have it available sometime this summer. Till next time, Peace Out - D

Happy New Year everybody! We hope you all had a great holiday season. This month we are proud to present some artwork from our friend Bob at Rivershack Design. This guy does awesome 3D stuff, as well as freehand drawing, web design, effects, custom graphics for whatever, etc. He's given us permission to put some samples on our website. Thanks Bob! Also we've added a few new pictures and some Quicktime Movies, courtesy of our good friend Paul. The pictures were taken at the Flight 585 memorial, and some out in B.F.E. on Gold Camp somewhere. The movies are of our show with Kiss Army at the Music Hall. The sound is not too great, but the frames should be fine depending on your system. Thanks Paul! Nothing booked for us yet, we're still concentrating on writing, and recording right after that. I'll try and set up something local in the near future, just to keep us on our toes. Laters! - Guapo
