Wow! - What can I say...but...I'm sooo sorry that I haven't updated sooner, but sooo much has happened. Let me try my best to make this a short (yeah, right) update. We accepted an invite from our friend Ken Willard (Neighborhood Bully) and CSNIGHTLIFE411.COM to participate in a benefit for a great cause @ Southside Johnny's. It rocked and raised quite a bit of money. There was an incredible band line-up : Neighborhood Bully, Distant Warning, The Nocturnal Tomatoes, The Voodoo Hawks, NTHAMIXX, The Last Band On Earth, Martini Shot, and Phat Daddy and the Phat Horn Doctors. Holly, Mrs. Colorado 2003 was also in attendance at the Rock-a-Betes benefit. Many thanks to Ken Willard, csnightlife411, the bands, and everyone else involved - it was a pleasure! We have also recently had the opportunity to play with some killer bands and we want you all to know just who they are: Defile - from Denver, Sanguine Addiction, and Head East. We thank you all for coming out and supporting us in our labor of love. Now on to other news. We recently completed an awesome video for the new album. Paul and crew did an equally amazing job putting the concept together. They are forever in our hearts and minds for the services that they provided.

All local Colorado Springs bands beware! Distant Warning won a $150 gift certificate from Guitar Center last year for placing second in the Battle of the Bands 2003. I put it in a drawer and forgot about it until just recently. I tried to redeem it last night, but Guitar Center would not honor it. Their reasons were that it was too old, and the issuing manager no longer worked there, so it was invalid. That's total bullshit. There's no expiration date on it, and someone paid for it or else they wouldn't have issued it. Distant Warning has spent thousands of dollars at Guitar Center over the past year, but no more. We are no longer refering our students there either. We have no beef with our many friends who work there. We hope that someday you find employment with a company with better business ethics. Just something to think about if your band ever enters an event sponsored by Guitar Center. It's not the money, it's the principle of the whole thing. We hope you join us and consider getting your gear elsewhere. If you've been burned by Guitar Center too, we'd love to hear from you. Leave your comments, good or bad, in the guestbook. Thanks - El Guapo

Greetings everyone and HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Here's what's new. We've been shooting the video for "Rest in Peace" the last couple of weeks. We recently got the opportunity to see some of the edited footage the other night. You all are in for a real treat! The video so far looks amazing.! We can't wait till it's available for you guys to check out! Thanks to Paul, Roger, Tracy, and all the other actors and crew involved in the project. I didn't get all of your names, but your hard work and talents are greatly appreciated! Distant Warning salutes you! Thanks Paul for putting this all together and shooting some killer stuff. Now that all the thanks yous are dispensed, on with the point. This is where WE NEED YOU!
OK, here's the deal! We have one more scene to shoot before final editing. The video in general has a very prominent Halloween theme to it. All the shots are based around this Halloween motif. This last scene is Distant Warning playing live to an audience all dressed in Halloween costumes. Due to prior obligations, we can't actually play on Halloween night. So we're going to "pretend" it's Halloween night! If you want to be in the video, be at the Underground nightclub downtown on Sunday, October 24, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, DRESSED IN COSTUME! Got it? We're going to have a wrap party after the shoot. So if you want, stick around and get drunk with us! We may even play a little bit afterwards. There's no cover and it's 21+.
The Underground is on Kiowa between Tejon and Nevada. In case you've never been there, it's a pretty creepy looking place. Perfect for shooting a creepy looking video! Check out some pictures from the early shoots and some video stills on our pics page. This video is professional, broadcast quality! We hope to get some distribution and rotation on some very prominent music video channels worldwide. Plus it will be on the forth coming Distant Warning DVD coming soon! So if you want to be immortalized in Distant Warning's first commercial video, make sure your ass is down there on Sunday night and tell all your friends too! In the immortal words of Billy the Kid..."We'll make you famous!"
Till then... "REST IN PEACE"!!! - Duane

Hey...were baaaack! That's right, we are back from Texas and it was a blast! Where do I begin? Luckily, the trip down was uneventful - no wrecks or flat tires. We had the pleasure and the privilege to stay with some friends/fans of ours in Las Cruces, NM - 'Many thanks Jason and Zoe!!'. They hooked us up!!!! Beer, food, beer, a place to crash, beer, breakfast and more beer - you just can't beat that! And keep in mind that they put us up (or put up with us) for a couple of days - LOL! San Antonio was fun but way too damn hot and humid. We met some great people (big shout out to Jeff-captchaos1, Ben, Nigel, and many others). Thanks for the support and the love! Now on to the bands, and there were a few - Shadowkeep (thanks Chris, Nicki, Scott, Ronnie and Stoney), Exciter, Flotsam and Jetsam, Sunlord, and Ancient Malus. A big round of applause for all of them and for the fans who made it out to the show at Randy's - it was huge! And many thanks to OV Productions for putting the whole thing together. We did manage to get some really good footage of the show, but sadly the sound guy was on CRACK and the audio is less than stellar. We wanted to thank everyone that helped us along the way - Beau, Paul, Craig, and Lee - for all the hard work. And of course all our fans, friends and family. On to more current news...The tracking for the newest disc is almost complete! I have one more song to finish and then we finish the back-ups. Then all that is left is mixing and mastering...and of course, duplication. I can honestly say that it ROCKS! Bill has done a superb job and I really think that you all will dig it! We are playing this weekend at Rascals - show starts at 9PM with S.T.E.P. as our guests. We are first up, so show up early and grab a good seat (it's not a huge place but it's a lot of fun). As usual at Rascals, it's all ages and no cover! We look forward to seeing you there!

Hey Rockers, it's Ron again! We have been very, very busy! As most of you are aware, we are back recording. This time it's under the guidance of Bill Douglass - Master Audio Engineer, and Pete Zeigler - Owner of Castle Rocks Studio. To complete the picture is Jodie Zeigler - an awesome chef! Thanks for the hospitality Jodie. Considering the way that she cooks, we may not leave even after the CD is done - LOL! The option for them to adopt a few, if not all of us is being looked into! With all the studio work that's going on, we still continue to play out live. Rascal's has been an amazing venue! If you haven't had a chance to visit there yet, do so soon. To Rick, Ken, all the staff (lights and camera man included), many thanks for making us feel at home. The vibe is amazing! We have also started to book more shows in Denver in the near future. Three cheers for Jeff at No Excuses for the hook up. And as you can tell, we will be back there for several shows. We do still have a few of the shirts left, so get them while you can. Also, once our soon to be completed and as of yet untitled new CD is released, the previous 3 discs will no longer be available. So this means that there is a limited time to secure your copies of these before they are gone for good. As you have probably noticed, we are having several of our shows video recorded. This is for a possible DVD project that we also have in the works. So don't be surprised if either Paul or Mike (not our Mike) approaches you and starts to ask questions. Thanks Paul and Mike for all your tireless effort, continued back strain and many miles yet to be traveled. Duane has made the show flyers available for printing and we do encourage you to print them and pass them around. We really love the new faces that are showing up to the shows. There have also been several new links added. Wow! That pretty much sums up these past few months. We want to thank everyone for all the continued support. Hope to see you all soon and I'll do my best to keep you all up on the goings on in the DW camp.
You Rock! - Ron and Distant Warning

Happy New Year from all of us in DW to all of you! I wanted to thank you for all the support that you've shown us this past year...THANK YOU! Congratulations to Todd and Babette on winning the autographed Fender electric guitar. Enjoy it and thanks for letting us ring in the New Year with you and everyone else at the party...much love to you guys! Things are beginning to heat up for us and it looks like we will be very busy this coming year. Due in no small part to all of you for the faith and support. We are gearing up to once again record...but in an actual studio this time. We promise that the next CD will be the best one yet. A big round of applause for our roadies, gear handlers an all around great bunch of people. They do most of the behind the scenes work and we manage to get all the damn credit...thanks! Distant Warning also wants to send a shout out to all the bands that we had the pleasure of playing with last year. Whether it was us opening or closing the evening, it was always fun. Looking forward to hooking up again this year. Thanks again for making last year and the previous years special for us! Peace and Love - Ron and the Distant Warning Boys
