S'up everyone! The latest and greatest from Distant Warning! "For All Eternity" has finally arrived! Check out the new sound clips! Like what you hear? Then buy the thing! Here's a little history on this release. This recording has been almost two years in the making. The previous demos up to this point featured Ron, Duane, and a drum machine. This is our first real studio effort involving all the members of Distant Warning. We recorded it back in February - October 2004 at Castle Rocks Studio. Then we spent the next few months editing, mixing, remixing, and mastering it. Then we sat on it for about six months while we tried to come up with some artwork for it. After much internal haggling about the artwork, we finally got it done! Thanks go out to all our fans, friends and families for their infinite patience. Thanks especially to Pete and Jodie Zeigler at Castle Rocks for providing a great recording environment, Bill Douglass from Royal Recording for his expert engineering, Tom Capek at Colorado Sound for mastering, Traci Hosmer and Vernon Jewell at TLH studios for designing a great looking cover, and Paul Sninchak and crew for documenting much of the sessions and providing a video history of the project, which will be on our first DVD coming sometime in the near future.

I'm listening to the CD now as I'm writing this, and I must admit that I'm rather pleased with the way it sounds. I hope you will enjoy it too. It has a much more aggresive, edgy sound and the album feels like it really moves compared to the demos. No doubt that those of you who have listened to the demos over and over will enjoy the subtle changes to some songs, and the radical changes to others. I'm overall very pleased with way it came out. You can also check out some full length tracks in streaming audio format on our MySpace page. Now here's how you can get your hands on one! It's available here on our website of course. It's will also be available at all Independent Records locations. Jill at Funky Treasures on West Colorado Ave. in Colo. Spgs. has also graciously offered to carry our fine DW swag as well.

Now we've been planning not one, but two CD release partys! We will have a small pre - CD release party at Shotz Tavern in Security, at a yet to be determined date. Then we will have the official CD release party at the Union Station on Saturday, November 5th. As our celebration present to you, we will be giving away a brand new Fender Stratocaster, airbrushed with the DW logo, and signed by all the guys in the band. We'll probably be giving away a few shirts, posters, CDs, stickers and any other junk we can think of too. It should be an awesome party! Exact details will be coming soon. Again thanks for all your patience. We're hard at work writing a bunch of brand new material for the next one. Hopefully it won't take as long to release this time. Enjoy "For All Eternity"! Drop us a line and tell us what you think! See ya out there and METAL ON!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give everyone a heads up to a few changes in the DW camp. First off... raise your glasses and let's give our bro' Mike a loud 'Hell Yeah'. He's currently on the road, way down in Texas to sit in with our pals from across the big pond, Shadowkeep. His first show is tonight - May 20th, in Houston. He will be playing 5 shows total, with the fifth being the largest venue. It is the Monterrey Metal Festival, in Monterrey Mexico. To give you an idea of just how big of an opportunity this is, Motorhead, Danzig, Metal Church, Michael Schenker, Jag Panzer, Wasp, Hammerfall, and Beyond Fear will also be playing this festival. We are proud to announce that our own Mike Pittman will be there rubbing shoulders with some true to life 'Metal Legends'. Soooooo, we also wanted to let you know that the show on the 27th @ The Union Station is still a go. We have a special 'guest' drummer sitting in for us that night. The one, the only....Bill Douglass - producer, engineer, and now drummer dude. Come one come all, the show starts at 9:30 and we are going on FIRST. And on a sad note, Defile will not be able to play on the 27th. There was a medical emergency and they had to step down (get well Fred). So we gave Sixty 8 a call and they graciously accepted. It will be our first time together and it should be a blast. Looking forward to seeing you all there next Friday. Til' then Metal On!! - Ron

S'up everyone! Something very bad has happened lately. My hard drive crashed and burned. Of course, I didn't have a recent backup of the Mailing List or my bookmarks because I'm stoopid. So it looks like I'll have to rebuild the Mailing List from scratch. So if you were on the list, I ask that you re-submit your info. It will help me clear out some of old outdated entries anyway. Other than that, the Gothic show went well even though it started late. Maybe some more show are in the works for up there in Denver. More on that later. One of the Union Station shows got dropped. So we will be opening for DEFILE on Friday May 27th with special guest drummer Bill Douglass. Then it's Laura Belle's on June 25th. Our apologies to you under aged guys that came out to the Union last time. There was a major miscommunication about the age restrictions. That's about all I can say about it. We're taking steps to make sure it never happens again. Well, that's all the news for now. See ya out there! - Duane

S'up everyone! Well a lot has been happening in the band these last few months, so I thought it would be a good time for another update. First of all, the new CD is mixed and mastered. It's going to be called "For All Eternity". We're all very please with the way it came out. Mike and I have been working on the artwork when we can, and that phase should be done very soon. Once that's done, then all that's left is duplication. We're planning a big CD release party when it's all done. I know a lot of you have been waiting a long time for this CD and you are gonna love it! I want to thank Bill Douglass and Pete Zeigler for all the help in the studio, and thanks to Tom Capek from Colorado Sound for doing an excellent job mastering it. You guys rock!

In other news, we recently played a couple of benefits, one here and one in Denver. The one at the Union Station was for Lance Lisenby, who lost an arm in a car accident around Christmas time. Thanks to all the other bands that played for making it a great day of music. And as always, thanks to you guys for coming out in force and supporting the cause. The benefit at Eck's was for cancer patient Vanette Anderson. We were so pleased to see a lot of our fans follow us up to Denver. It really was an awesome feeling! Thanks for the support as always! We played with some killer bands, and we hope to hook up some shows with them in the future, so you can check them out too! I was kinda pissed that I didn't win the autographed Steve Vai guitar, but hey, it was all for a good cause. I don't think I've ever seen so many people in Eck's before. Wishdoctor tore it up at the end of the night. All in all it was a great night!

Speaking of guitars, one down and one to go. I raffled off one of my guitars back in February, and I'm going to do another one April 15th. Congratulations to February's winner! Enjoy! And if we didn't have enough irons in the fire, Paul our video guy and I have been discussing the idea of putting a copy of the Rest In Peace video on the website that you can download. If you've seen the RIP video you know it kicks ass! A lot of you have been asking me when the DVD will be done.Well there's still a lot of work to do on the DVD. We need to finish shooting some interviews, and then there's tons of editing of course, but we might be able to release RIP either on the website or on the the new CD or maybe even both very soon. When it's on the website, you'll know!

I finally got a day off to update the website, which was badly needed in my opinion. I cleaned up the links page a little bit. And I also added 130 new pictures. They're from various shows we've played over the past few months. Thanks to Lee for taking all the photos. Check em out! You might be on them! We'll that's about all I can think of right now. We'll see you all April 15th at the Union Station! Till then best wishes and as Mike would say, "METAL ON!" - Duane
