Hello DW fans! Since the first time Distant Warning had appeared on MySpace Music way back in July 2005, we have networked with a lot of great bands, venues and fans from all over the globe! It's a great tool for meeting people and exchanging ideas and information. My original intention in signing us up was to promote and network other bands, and have a place to showcase our material. And we have done that with great success. We are so thankful for your responses, mail, and your comments. We have received so many friend requests that my schedule has not allowed me to keep up with it as often as I would like to. I apologize if I haven't replied to your messages in a timely manner. Having said that, I would like to return to the original intention of this MySpace account by linking BANDS only at this time. So if you're a band within the realm of our genre and want to link, then welcome. If you're a promoter, venue, friend or fan that wants to link, please see Ron's MySpace account (DistVox), or Andrew's (Andrew) and link there. You will probably get a faster response by doing that. Of course, your mail and comments are still welcome here, but I would like this to be by bands and for bands only. Get it?

In other news, Mike Pittman and Distant Warning have parted ways as of early September. After a four year run with DW, Mike wanted to focus his time and energies on his new business, Pitt's Drum Shop, as well as do some recording outside of the band. Therefore, he decided he was unable to continue playing with the group. His departure was amicable, and we all wish him the best of luck in the future. In the meantime, we have been busy interviewing and auditioning many drummers who are interested in joining the DW fold. So if you think you have the chops, we are presently taking demo submission and promo material. We are looking at chops, talent, experience, professionalism, time commitment, personal drive, loyalty, hygene and personality. No issues will be tolerated here. No drug or alcohol issues will be tolerated either. We are serious musicians with a definite goal in mind. Only serious and dedicated drummers will be considered. Still interested? Then send either Ron or I an email, and I'll send you some contact information. Have a recent demo prepared either on cassette, CD or DVD. Also, take the time to familiarize yourself with our material. The audition process will take some time, and we will be screening applicants for a while because we would like to finish up writing the new CD before we install a new member. That said, good luck and we look forward to meeting you!

Thanks to our families, friends, and fans for all the support this past year. We love you all. See ya next year!

Whassup Metal Heads! Time for another news flash! First off, the new shirts are in! These are the best damn looking shirts we've made yet! We want to give a big THANK YOU to Todd and Babette of FUKT-SHIRTS.com for helping us out with these. The design and quality have far surpassed all of my expectations! This year we have t-shirts, hoodies, long sleeves, and spaghetti straps for the ladies. On the front, we basically took the "For All Eternity" album cover and cleaned it up a little, making it silver on black. Then on the back, we put pictures of all the guys with the logo in the center. Check out the merchandise page to order them!

Those of you who have been waiting for an all ages show, there's one coming in June. We have the Tejon Street Bike Fest on Sunday, June 25th in downtown Colorado Springs. We have the headlining slot from 8:00pm to 10:00pm, so come early for a good spot! We love to play outdoor gigs, and this is a BIG one! We hope to setup up a few more outdoor shows this summer.

If you get a chance, click on over to the links page and check out the new ones. If you haven't heard yet, Mikey has finally opened up his very own drum shop. Pitt's Drum Shop is now open for business! He does sales, repairs, lessons, and all sorts of other demented stuff. Pitt's is on the corner of Union and Cache La Poudre. Which, coincidentally, is where Funky Treasures is now, and a new store called Hipsters. Jill and Lisa have done a good job with opening up their new stores. Lisa has some swingin' retro style accessories, furniture, toys, and doo-dads. Whoa! Far out, man! Jill has a cool little rockin' place. She has posters and album covers of 80s metal bands adorning the walls. She also has the coolest Rock n' Roll clothes in town. You can pick up the new DW shirts there too! Union and Cache La Poudre. Check em out!

Well, we have an invitation to all of our fans out there. If you are interested in writing a review of any one of our shows, or would like to review the new CD "For All Eternity", email us your review and we will publish it, good or bad. Only reviews that are thoughtful, objective, and generally well written will be posted. Explain why you like or dislike something. Don't just write short, passing comments. They will be ignored. I think you guys get the idea. This could be your chance to become that next great rock critic or CD reviewer.

In other news, Ron and Paul have been busy pouring through literally hundreds of hours of DW footage for the new DVD. They're capturing some great stuff and will start editing very soon. Check out Paul's website Eye Strain Video if you needs to be getting some videos done. Check out the awesome job he did on Rest In Peace! I've been busy trying to make some more improvements to the website as time permits. We want to say THANKS to all the Denver fans who came out to the Cricket and Buffalo Rose shows! Ya'll whoop ass every time we play up there! Thanks for supporting the out-of-town guys! See ya at Eck's and Andolini's! That's about all the news for now. Check out the new shirts! Peace, out! - Duane

Hello there fellow Rockers...how are things?
Things in the DW camp are great and busy as usual. First off, let me thank everyone for the never ending support and love! You guys ROCK!!! We've had the pleasure of playing with some cool folks! Defile, 13th Parallel, Habitual, Abandonato, and Sons of the Cloth. It's been a blast and there's plenty more to come. In March we are opening for Frank Hannon, of TESLA fame, at the Union Station...our home away from home. I must admit that we have been pretty blown away with the way the new CD is going. The disc is available at all Independent Records locations, Mosh Pit Records, Funky Treasures, and from us via online or at the shows. We really hope that you all enjoy it and play it over...and over again!! Prior to our official CD release party, we did a small acoustic show at Shots Tavern and the response was amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if that's something that we do again in the future. Hell, we might even record a few song acoustically...just for the die-hard Distant Warning fans! As usual, we continue to write new material for the next CD. A few songs you might have actually heard live. They are False Prophet and Neverland and in my opinion...They Rock! And like I said earlier, there are several more on the way. If you get a chance, drop us a line either at our mail page here, or at MySpace.com. We'd love to hear from you.
